Ingredients :
- Overnight soaked mix pulses of your choice.
- 1 large roughly onions
- 1 large finely chopped onion
- ¼ tsp ginger-garlic paste
- Dry coconut- ¼ cup
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- Spicy green chilli- as per taste
- ½ inch ginger
- 1-2 tbsp MAHA-MARATHWADA masala
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Salt as required
- Oil- 3-4 tbsp
- Hot water- for gravy
Process :
- In a pressure cooker add some oil and add chopped onion once hot.
- Sauté till it turns pink then add ginger garlic paste and a pinch of turmeric powder and cook until the raw smell is gone.
- Add the overnight soaked mixed pulses, little bit of salt and water and pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
- Meanwhile, roast the dry coconut and onion until they turn brown. Add them to a mixer jar.
- To the same jar, add garlic, ginger, coriander and green chilli and grind it to a fine paste.
- Take an iron deep pan, add oil and add the prepared paste and sauté for 5-7 minutes on low-medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally.
- Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, turmeric and MAHA-MARATHWADA masala and continue to sauté for another 5-7 minutes
- Add hot water and the ready pressure cooked pulses and bring it to boil.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
